Accelerated ageing test is conducted on polymers to evaluate their resistance to deterioration with the passage of time. For this purpose the test specimen is subjected to controlled deteriorating influences at elevated temperatures for definite periods, after which the effect of such influences on their properties are determined and compared against the corresponding properties of un-aged polymers. One of the apparatus used for this purpose is the multi-cell ageing oven.
